Thursday -- Departure

Sunday, Sept. 22 -- You'll arrive in your own vehicle and check-in at Schoodic Shores Apartments at Schoodic Institute.  I'll be on hand to say howdy, give you a brief orientation, and discuss what we can all expect over the next three days.

Monday, Sept. 23 -- We'll meet in the morning and I'll introduce you to Seth Benz, who'll lead us all on a special tour of the feeding spots and nesting places the Birds of Schoodic call home.

Hermit Thrushes (and a variety of other thrushes)
Peregrine Falcons (and other migratory raptors, such as Merlin)
Northern Gannets (and other migratory waterbirds, last October 17 we saw over 25,000 sea Ducks in a few hours).
Also:  Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Cormorants, Loons, etc.

Following that, we head back to Schoodic Institute for lunch and a brief presentation by one of the Institute's spokespeople.  We'll take a break after that and reconvene in one of the Institute's classrooms for a photo review and brief Photoshop/Lightroom lesson.

Once that's finished, it's time for some late afternoon/early evening shooting.  The landscape and macro opportunities at Schoodic Point are just about unlimited!  When we've had our fill there, it's back to the Institute's cafe for dinner, and that's when I bid you adieu.

Tuesday, Sept. 24 -- We assemble, bright and early at 6:30-am and head to scenic Tidal Falls in Hancock.  It's the home of Frenchman Bay Conservancy, a nationally accredited nonprofit local land conservation organization.  We'll shoot there until it's time for a lunch break, at which time we'll walk up to the FBC office where a rep will brief us on their latest endeavors.

Then it's back to Schoodic for another photo review and PS/LR session.

Finally, another location at Schoodic for late afternoon landscapes.  Then, dinner and bye-bye until the next morning.

Wednesday, Sept. 25 -- Set your smartphone alarms for an EARLY start!!  We're going to catch the brilliant morning light at the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia National Park.  We'll cruise Ocean Drive and pick the most scenic venues to photograph.

After the morning shoot, we'll load up and head back to the Institute, for lunch and a presentation from the Friends of Taunton Bay, followed by another photo review/PS/LR session.

And to round things out nicely, after more late afternoon/early evening landscape shooting, we'll settle in for a good old fashioned Maine Lobster dinner!  Then, it's hugs and goodbyes, folks :)

Thursday, Sept. 26 -- You depart at your leisure.
